Hello World, I’m Mara Vexa
I’m a technology professional and aspiring cyborg specializing in security, observability, and automation — and, most recently, supercharging all three with AI. I’m interested in what intelligent systems can do, how they can be broken, and how we can use them to extend our own capabilities.
I write about AI, security, observability, open-source technology, and the systems I build while exploring them. That ranges from red-teaming LLMs and figuring out how to observe systems that know they’re being watched, to building weird little tools because the thing I wanted didn’t exist yet. I’m particularly interested in self-hosted AI, human augmentation, and what happens when powerful intelligence technologies collide with questions of autonomy, privacy, security, and who actually benefits from technological progress.
